Code generation and safer AI are the highlights of Meta’s Llama 3 AI model, which Meta recently launched. Will it become the most suitable AI tool for XR development?

Meta Llama 3 is a large language model trained on a massive dataset of text and code, 15 trillion tokens of data, doubling the capacity of Llama 2. It is integrated into Meta’s main social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp as Meta AI, a new intelligent assistant, and diversifying it from the previous version.

Enhanced performance. Llama 3 can handle multi-step tasks with drastically elevated capabilities like reasoning, code generation, and instruction following. New models — Llama 3 8B, which contains 8 billion parameters, and Llama 3 70B, which contains 70 billion parameters, as Meta says, were trained on two custom-built 24,000 GPU clusters and are among the best-performing generative AI models available now.
Code generation. Llama’s ability to generate various programming languages makes it invaluable for programmers. Its expanded coding knowledge can aid in code completion and offer alternative methods during the code generation phase, making development quicker and contributing to the most effective solutions.
