Resolving global challenges in Healthcare, Military, and Education: Key Takeaways from the VRARA Summit

The Inaugural VR/AR Association (VRARA) Healthcare Summit has just finished demonstrating the fascinating speed and dedication of the XR industry to resolve complex global challenges and contribute to vital impacts in Healthcare, the Military, Education, and other domains. We had an incredible experience sharing expertise and defining essential industry trends with our colleagues during this event at the University of Miami.

Alex Dzyuba, the Healthcare Committee Co-Chair at VRARA and founder and CEO of Lucid Reality Labs, emphasized that Adaptive AI in Healthcare empowers advanced procedural training with hyper-realistic clinical subject matter experts. “And this is just one of the numerous opportunities this synergy offers to the healthcare industry. By creating self-advancing systems, offering real-time access to expertise, ensuring intuitive and effective training tools, scalability, and enhancing cost-effectiveness, AI elevates inclusive and accessible education,” said Alex Dzyuba.

Walter Greenleaf, PhD Neuroscientist, Virtual Reality and Digital Health Expert at Stanford University stressed that we are facing a new global epidemic of mental health issues, and XR can be one of the effective solutions to address this challenge.

Brian Bunnell, PhD, Director of Research at doxy.me, highlighted that Virtual Reality-based exposure therapy can address the limitations of tele-exposure therapy. “Combining telehealth and Virtual Reality can extend provider treatment options and improve patient care experiences,” said Brian Burnell.

Lynn Welch, a Co-Chair of the Defense & Intelligence Committee of the VR/AR Association (VRARA) and Lucid Reality Labs Chief Growth Officer, while moderating a panel about AI and XR in Military Healthcare, underlined that it is vital to share and discuss how technology develops and how it is interoperable with existing military protocols and technology. “In Lucid Reality Labs, we focus on operationalizing XR across Healthcare and Defense organizations. Moreover, we empower our XR solutions with the immense potential of AI for the best outcome possible,” said Lynn Welch.

We are grateful for nurturing ideas and sharing insights and look forward to the next VRARA events!
